OpenShift 4.5 adds the full-stack automation (IPI) capability for VMware vSphere infrastructure. Using the IPI on vSphere method, the installer provisions bootstrap and control plane nodes and relies on the MachineAPI and MachineConfig Operators to provision and manage worker nodes.
